hit and run
I was involved in an accident a year ago. The other driver was at fault. I was at a t intersection and had the right of way. The person pulled out I could not stop. We exchanged info and his parent came and could see the damage to my car. I was rembursted for my car and given a rental. I had to go to court for an unrelated accident and found out that I had a charge of hit and run. I was given no notice nothing from thier ins. Why am I now being charged and what I can do?

It looks like they may have lied to the insurance company. Do you have any proof it was his fault or any record of this accident?

Sounds like a scribner's error was made on the police report. Get the police report. Read is carefully. If it is not accurate, your attorney will know how to have it corrected. Could also be a Court transcription error. Good Luck.
