    You should give the judge's court coordinator a call. You need to be extremely polite and not demanding. Explain your situation. This person can be your best friend if you win him/her over. They don't need to give you the time of day unless you follow all of the proceedural rules to a tee, which is not easy for a pro-se litigant to do.
