The top cable station is 1,067 m above sea level and you are able to watch the city bowl getting smaller as you travel steeply up the mountain. The ride will take approximately 5 mins and there are cable cars going up and down every ten to 15 mins. You can also walk up to the level summit, which stretches out for 3 kilometeres, or take the cable car. After exploring the beauty of the short walks on top of the mountain, you can either return in the cable car or otherwise select the more adventurous method of climbing down that part of the mountain. Whatever you might choose, you are guaranteed of enjoying every minute of your adventure. The panoramic view from the flat summit is simply breathtaking since you can easily see the entire city, stretching from Bloubergstrand (Blue Mountain Beach), Devils Peak, Signal Hill, and the Victoria & Albert Waterfront all the way to Somerset West below the Helderberg Mountains. The 'Shop on Top of the mountain sells t-shirts, caps and souvenirs that you might want to purchase before going back down. You could also dine at the Table Mountain Caf whilst enjoying the magnificent view.
