    on my credit report there's a 425 dollars fee for a previous apartment I rented and they no longer own the apartment they also have no record of my debt the creditors they
    went through are no longer in business do I still owe the 425

    I would suggest a couple things. First of all, I would dispute the debt on your credit report, if the creditor and the owner of the apartment are no longer responding involved, then this dispute to the credit bureaus will go unanswered. When you file this dispute with the credit bureaus, they will contact the creditor and/or collection company. If they do not respond, which they probably will not, then the debt will be removed from your credit report.
