    Sole Proprietor & then eventually a LLC?

    Can I start out as a Sole Proprietor & eventually form a LLC for my business? Also if I do decide to start out as a LLC would I still need a DBA?

    Yes you can start out as a sole proprietor and later form an LLC. If you start out as an LLC there is no need for an assumed name as the LLC is a seperate entity.
