DUI school is basically an alcohol education program offered by local agencies to help educate drivers about the risks of drunk driving. The aim of the school is to educate drivers and keep the public safe by reducing the number of drunk driving incidents. Some states refer to these schools as alcohol assessment programs, alcohol treatment programs, etc... but the overall mission of these schools is the same nonetheless.

Just make sure that when you go to "class" you do not drive there. My husband received a DUI a few years back and had to go to school. His license was obviously suspended but he thought he could get away with driving to class by himself. On the way, he was stopped by an officer for a traffic infraction but he was very, very lucky that the officer let him off the hook without checking his record! Make sure someone drops you off.
