What happens if you dont go in for police questioning?
What happens if the police want to bring you in for questioning because they think you're a suspect, and you just say, "No not until you present me with a lawyer". Will they go to the work to get you a lawyer and all that if they even if they dont have a lot of evidence? Or can they get a lawyer quickly and easily and will do so even though they dont have much for leads?

The police can not take you against your will unless they arrest you. A good strategy might be to ask the officer, "am I being charged?" If not, you can politely decline to answer questions until you have spoken with your attorney. If you are being charged, you obviously still have the right to remain silent.
