I can't work the Ignition Interlock Device

I am trying to get my license re-instated. They were suspended 6 years ago for a second DUI. I have done the DUI school and had the evaluation. On the 27th of December I had the Interlock installed on my truck. A 95 GMC I just bought. I am struggling. I am trying to do the right things and get back on my feet. I live with my sister and brother-in-law. I am 50 years old.

I have been trying to get this device to work. The young kid that installed it ahd to work it the day it was installed so my brother-in-law could drive us home. It asked for a retest during the ride home and again I tried to blow and humm in the device to get it to work. NO GO! I have since tried over 100 times trying to get it to work. I have a called the company "SmartStart" and talked with them and their technical support. They have listened to me by phone and worked with me trying to train me and help me with the device. Still a NO GO ! I can't work this thing. I can't drive the truck, I can't get my license because it would do me no good if I can't work it and my first monthly appointment to have this thing downloaded is the 24th of this month Christmas eve. I have heard about the hardship wavier. Can I still get it? Would my not being able to work the device ba a hardship? WHAT IS IT GOING TO COST ME TO GET AN ATTORNEY TO DO THE WAIVER? HELP!!!!

The best way to find out what the cost of doing the waiver is would be to contact some attorneys that handle dwi cases. They should have good information about your chances of success and an estimate of the cost.
