If a case is closed and the attorney reach a plea deal and you has the victim did not agree is there something that can be done? Can you sue them because now they are telling you there is nothing I can do? The attorney fell to protect and service justice to the man that molested my son?

I had a case in 2010 were my son was a victim of a child molester. The investigator charged him with Lewd Lascivious molestation of a child under the age of 12. What the State attorneys office did was reach a plea deal with him for Lewd & Lascivious Exhibition of a child under the age of 16. There is a BIG difference in charges. The attorney's reasoning for this was "The jails are over populated!" I was told THEN that if my son would testify that the molester would get additional time (he was already in jail for molesting a little girl) and if my son would not testify then he would get time to run concurrent with his current sentencing. What can I do to push this further? Can I sue the State Attorney's Office for not prosecuting this man for what he did and just brushing us under the rug like what he did to my son was nothing??? Will an Attorney help ME & my SON! The state let us down!
