    Employee Termination

    Is there any legal statute in the state of CA which gives an employer any such obligation to terminate an employee over the phone? Is the obligation contingent upon a hiring agreement signed by said employee?

    Are you asking whether there is any law that requires an employer to fire an employee over the phone as opposed to in person?
