    Lightbulb Temporary Restraining Order

    Hi,

I'm trying to find out what's the best way to go on a Temporary Restraining Order. Me and my ex were still living together and she started moving her stuff out. I was fine with her taking anything that she had when we moved in together but she also was trying to take things that we got after we moved in together. Most of them I pay for since she was not working for part of the time we lived together. I told her she can take her stuff and anything else she can take me to court on. So she went down to the court house and file for a Temporary Restraining Order and lied about a lot of things. Now I'm told I can't return home for 14 days which is letting her take whatever she wants of mine. I don't want to return home in 14 days and see I have nothing left. Also the paperwork I got from the officer has a lot of wrong informantion. My DOB is wrong and so are some other parts of it. I'm wondering what's my best action at this point.

You need to contest the restraining order. If you find out that she has taken your items, you may be able to sue her in court (or small claims court) after the fact.
