    residence through marriage

i got a 2 year resident card issued on 2011, i got married on 2010. Wy wife and i broke up 3 weeks ago because she was unfaithful, i tried to work things out but she is already living with the person she cheated with. everything happenned within a week so i guess it was something that was planned.

She said she was very sorry and that she wants to finish my immigration paper work because i still have to file for the 10 year residence, and that she wants to go with me to the appointment on october and file like we still together, I dont like that scenario.

I want to know if i can tell the truth and file by myself and explained what happenned. We lived together for 1 year and 7 months, i have 2 year tax filed, bank accounts under both of our names, car inssurance under both of our names, pictures and i even saved some occasional cards she gave while we were together.

Should i go along with her idea or should file by myself explaining that we are not together anymore and bring the proves i have that we were together?

Unfortunately I do not think anyone here will or can advise you to lie.

I would recommend you get a lawyer and he will let you know what the best course of action for you would be.

In this hard time only a experianced lawyer can help you and can you give the right advice, because your wife is not in the favor of you and now the filing of 10 year resident it not possible without compromise.
