    Should we sue

My boyfriend woke up with half the vision in his left eye gone. we went to the local Hospital where he saw a P.A. and was sent to an eye doctor in a bigger hospital.... the next day. The eye doctor said he should have been seen right away, my boyfriend had had a stroke in his eye. Had he been seen right away he would have had a chance of getting some if not all his vision back but because it was over 24hrs it's gone for good. what i want to know is do we have a malpractice case? and if so what should we be asking for?

    Marty,
Tricky case to evaluate. You need to get with an attorney who pursues medical malpractice cases. He or she should have a feel for whether you have a good chance of prevailing, and what the potential recovery would be.

If you feel this is the matter of doctor ignorance then you can challenge it into the court.
