overcharged for breaking a lease
i'm looking for some help, i leased a house with a few friends we moved out before our lease was up but we had asked about if there was a cost to break the lease they said "no", but they are charging us 1/1/2 times the full rent even though we paid a pro rated amount for the month we stayed. they are also charging us for 4 boxes to replace 7 boards of pergo flooring as well as 55hours for two men to replace them. i don't feel this is fair, and to change 3 light bulbs and a hour of labor. i'm not sure how to go about appealing it but they are charging us a grand total of 3461.00 which i feel is far too much. any advice would help

What does the lease state with regards to the charges that are being imposed on you? You can refuse to pay and then dispute the charges in court if the landlord decides to sue.
I am not a lawyer, this is not legal advice.
