    housing damages

    I am moving out of a rented room in a house and the carpet needs replacing. I have no problem paying for my room but they want me to pay for the whole house so that it matches. is this legal?

    They can ask you to pay but doesn't mean you are legally required to.

    If you are living in the room and you are paying for it, then its ok. Now they are asking for the whole rent then you can also ask about whole control ofthe house.
