    It will always be on your criminal record. As far as your DMV record, according to carinsurance.com:

    "According to the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) representative we contacted, minor violations remain on your record for three (3) years based on the date the court reports to them. Some serious violations though, such as a DUI, may remain active it stays on your record for a longer period of time, up to 10 years in fact."
