    Moving Violations

As I was approaching an intersection the other day, I saw that the light was about to turn red so I turned to drive through the gas station parking lot to get to the adjacent street. Little did I know a cop car was hiding on the side of the building. Next thing I know Iím being given a $200 ticket citing a moving violation for cutting through the parking lot. Iím so confused by this. How is this a moving violation? I donít understand how I broke the law.

Most states have laws again cutting through a gas station to avoid lights. If you provide more information, like your state and the citation you were issued, I could show you the state statute that you likely violated.
